About the Role
Our 10-week Gap Inc. Summer Internship Program offers meaningful work experiences across various business areas, allowing you to deepen your functional knowledge and immerse yourself in the fast-paced retail industry. You’ll work on projects that directly impact our bottom line and present your work to senior management, while also participating in company events like executive speaker series and off-site activities. Upon completion of the internship, successful interns will be well-positioned for full time roles after they graduate.
As an Asset Protection Operations Intern, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our People, Products & Assets, and Experiences. You will operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure workplace for our employees and customers. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic financial decisions to safeguard the company's assets and ensure long-term financial stability. You will analyze data, assess risks, and implement measures to mitigate potential threats to our assets. By leveraging your expertise in financial analysis and risk management, you will play a key role in supporting the overall growth and success of the organization.
Salary Range: $32.00 - $34.00 Per Hour
Must be based in San Francisco
What You'll Do
- Dive into Digital Platforms: Assist the AP Operations team by creating and maintaining dynamic reports across various digital platforms and advancing automation. Your work will directly impact our operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
- Be a Data Champion: Support data management initiatives, streamline processes, and contribute to the overall goals and initiatives of the AP Operations team. Your efforts will help drive our success and innovation.
- Lead Impactful Projects: Participate in exciting projects that promote consistency, optimization, and fiscal responsibility. You'll provide clear action points for our HQ, CEC, and Field teams, making a tangible difference in our operations.
- Engage in Team Collaboration: Attend and actively participate in internal team meetings and working sessions, both virtually and locally. Your insights and contributions will be valued and impactful.
- Enhance Organizational Efficiency: Collaborate with team members to minimize redundancies and data inconsistencies within our data sets and reporting. Your work will help ensure our organization runs smoothly and efficiently.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in progress.
- Must be in your Junior academic year graduating in December 2025 and Spring 2026
- Ability to work Monday – Friday from June to August
- Advanced Excel with experience using PowerBI preferred.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint) web-based communication platforms and the ability to learn technical applications, terminology, and processes quickly
- Strong time management and self-starter attitude with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong intellectual curiosity & seeks out new ways of learning in complex situations
