Requirements
  • Active and unencumbered registered nurse licensure in the state of Florida.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is required.
  • Three years of mother/baby or obstetric experience.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and deliver class objectives in a clear and concise manner.
  • Foster and maintain an orderly, controlled, and safe environment for students in classrooms and laboratories.
  • Maintain and prepare training aids, tools, and equipment in the classroom and laboratory.
  • Maintain curriculum accuracy by staying current with industry standards and practices.
  • Evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, and practical assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve academic and professional success.
  • Identify and report at-risk students and create individualized success plans to mitigate attrition.
  • Foster relationships with students to help them meet program competency requirements.
  • Provide periodic and ad hoc reporting to stakeholders.
  • Meet with students and education personnel to discuss instructional programs and related issues.
  • Provide regular, substantive interaction with students in online course components.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  • Deliver lectures and laboratory sessions on assigned topics, diagnostic procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Teach in classrooms, laboratories, and outside the classroom during campus and student activities.
  • Develop and implement curriculum.
  • Act as a professional and academic role model for students.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
