Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely closure of investigations into customer complaints and warranty investigations including the root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions, technical reporting, and communication with customers.
  • Continuously improve the effectiveness of preventative actions resulting from investigations or continuous improvement activities.
  • Audit product work instruction packages generated by engineering. Review and approve work instructions, tooling, and inspection methods used throughout the company for compliance with original equipment manufacturer requirements and other technical data, current customer work instructions, and industry standards.
  • Ensure that maintenance release certificates are reviewed and approved daily.
  • Provide direct managerial oversight of the department and personnel.
  • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives for the QE team.
  • Motivate, coach, and counsel team members to achieve desired results.
  • Coordinate, plan and direct all activities of the Quality Engineering Department in unison with the Quality Manager.
