Requirements
  • Registration with the Skilled Trades Ontario as a 310T/S Automotive Apprentice Mechanic and current standing in the second, third, or fourth year.
  • ODP certification with air-conditioning experience.
  • Experience and working knowledge of light-duty diesel repair and gasoline repair.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational competencies.
  • Leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • A valid G class driving license.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and ensure vehicle safety through required preventive maintenance in compliance with Ministry of Transportation and Voyago guidelines.
  • Use inventory parts or order necessary parts through fleet management software to complete repairs.
  • Complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • Service vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Keep the work environment clean and tidy.
  • Complete required reports, including driver-initiated repair logs, log books, and divisional preventive-maintenance service logs.
