Cirrus Logic’s Mixed Signal Product Division is seeking EE undergrad interns to join our team of applications engineers supporting our Haptics boosted amplifier products. You will be part of a talented pool of engineers who are pioneers in next-generation haptics solutions that go into smartphones, tablets, laptops, headsets, wearables, and more.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to support the integration of our haptics products at key customers
• Support the development of collateral and demos to productize and promote new haptics products
• Gain hands-on lab experience by supporting the debug of system level issues, characterizing actuators and validating devices performance
• Validate evaluation boards and gain experience reviewing schematics and layout files
• Support the development and testing of Python and MATLAB scripts
• Work in partnership with tools and firmware engineering teams around the world to define, implement and test new software features
• Use systems such as JIRA/Confluence to track and document tasks and issues.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Currently enrolled in a B.S./M.S Electrical or Computer Engineering degree program
• Coursework in analog/digital electronics, embedded programming, and/or related project experience.
• Deep understanding of EE fundamentals.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java and/or C/C++
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
• Experience with lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Experience working with cross functional teams and supporting customers
• Coursework in power electronics, digital signal processing and microcontrollers and/or DSP programming
• Experience using Audio Precision analyzers and audio software such as Adobe Audition
• Proficient in writing MATLAB and Python scripts
• Good hardware and software debug skills
• Has a passion for Haptics or Audio technology and able to work in a fast paced environment

This position is located in Austin, TX

Cirrus Logic follows a 2+ day in-office work schedule but interns should expect to be in the office more often, up to 5 days per week, based on business needs and team preference. Interns must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning their internship with Cirrus Logic.
