Requirements
  • Three to five years of technician experience with field and sustainment operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A valid U.S. passport is required.
  • An active Secret-level security clearance or higher is required.
  • The candidate must pass a criminal and credit background check.
  • The candidate must meet the requirements for residence in the United Arab Emirates.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain it.
Responsibilities
  • Provide field and sustainment-level maintenance support to United Arab Emirates THAAD Fire Units.
  • Support the customer in managing and monitoring the maintenance and sustainment program, including scheduling services, system upgrades, and modifications.
  • Perform maintenance actions and troubleshooting procedures above the level of Enhanced Operator/Maintainers, including software, hardware, interconnecting cabling, electrical systems, and networks.
  • Create, update, and complete Maintenance Actions within the allotted time.
  • Read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings, and collect, package, and deliver system data files from the THAAD Fire Control and Communication systems and launchers.
  • Perform Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation in support of United Arab Emirates THAAD Battery sustainment operations.
  • Support maintenance and calibration of all special tools and equipment.
  • Support inspections and testing of peculiar support equipment for corrosion issues.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to mitigate and prevent corrosion on the United Arab Emirates tactical system.
  • Support missile prevention and Maintenance Checks and Services, and conduct annual maintenance on all missile rounds in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Maintain Liquid Propellant Accident Response Team suits and equipment.
  • Support movement of missile rounds on tactical sites, including constitution and de-constitution of Missile Round Pallets.
  • Work in an austere environment with limited Western amenities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with THAAD or Patriot systems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain networks, including local area networks, wide area networks, and IP address schemes.
  • Working knowledge of Unix and Linux.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to apply fault detection and fault isolation procedures.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic operations.
  • Basic understanding of the Army Supply System.
  • Ability to apply appropriate Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation procedures.
  • Ability to manage and account for inventory.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
