Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead daily meetings (shift, SQCD, etc) with associates, cross-functional team members, managers, vendors, etc, to communicate relevant topics and uphold transparency, productivity and good working relationship.
  • Conduct and document checks (LPC) to ensure conformance to safety, quality and shop-floor standards.
  • Record shift events (attendance, breakdowns, quality issues, criticality, performance, etc) and summarize shift events and handover to the next shift Front Line Manager to ensure seamless production continuity.
  • Track production performance and efficiency KPIs (OEE, FPY, scrap, tool life, leveling, fulfilment, etc.), identify deviations, and escalate impediments; define and ensure execution of corrective actions to restore and stabilize targeted performance conditions.
  • Organize and lead daily meetings (shift, SQCD, etc) with associates, CFT members, managers, vendors, etc, to communicate relevant topics and uphold transparency, productivity and good working relationship.
  • Engage proactively with associates to sustain an open forum for them to voice concerns and grievances, clarify, advise, counsel, resolve or raise topics to superiors in a fair, transparent and amicable manner.
  • Motivate and coach associates into active engagement of learning, problem solving and identifying potentials in manufacturing for Kaizens and suggestions on SQCD to enable operational excellence; implement organizational change initiatives to bring transformational improvements to Value Stream performance.
  • Organize and train new associates for the production lines; track and monitor skill levels of existing associates; train and coach them to understand the requirements and reasons behind processes, procedures and controls to ensure safety, efficiency and defect-free production.
  • Follow defined manufacturing process standards e.g. drawings, Product Data Sheets, Statistical Process Control, PFEP, Gauge validity; conduct checks to confirm release of manufacturing during Shift start / Change over and execute defined deviation management if needed to ensure defect-free production.
  • Compile, consolidate and report shop floor deliverables (e.g. SAP reporting, input hours, rejection quantity, down-times) to enable management to visualize performance and steer business performance (cost review, inventory, order tracking, associate payment, maintenance, budgets).

Gates' VC fund leads $110M funding for AI chip startup Neurophos

Neurophos Inc., a chip startup developing technology to outperform AI accelerators, has raised $110 million in funding led by Gates Frontier, Bill Gates' venture capital fund. Microsoft's M12 and Aramco Ventures, the investment arm of Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil producer, also participated. Additional investors in the round included Bosch Ventures, Tectonic Ventures and Space Capital.
