Requirements
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in software engineering, quality assurance, product operations, or a similar technical field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience using SQL and other business analytics tools such as Tableau and Business Objects.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C#, C/C++, JavaScript, Python, Rust, or Swift.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience architecting and supporting modern web systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and distributed models.
  • At least 2 years of technical project or program management experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a strategic and analytical leadership role partnering with Product or Engineering leaders.
  • At least 6 months of practical experience architecting or utilizing agentic artificial intelligence solutions to augment team capabilities and improve product quality outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Technical Services Managers who serve as the primary interface between the Global Customer Operations organization and Engineering.
  • Review, investigate, and resolve member cases escalated to the team within target service-level agreements.
  • Develop and implement reporting to track key product quality metrics and quickly identify trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly quality reviews to draw insights and drive influence.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product Management to set and enhance quality standards.
  • Lead initiatives to deliver customer experiences aligned with a Members First culture.
  • Coach and develop the team and partners to enhance their effectiveness and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations leadership to deliver value by elevating product quality and craftsmanship.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience managing global, distributed teams.
  • Direct experience using data to identify trends and opportunities.

LinkedIn shuts Israel office, lays off nearly all 50 staff after $80M Oribi acquisition

LinkedIn is closing its Tel Aviv development centre and laying off nearly all of its roughly 50 employees. A small number will remain temporarily to handle ongoing business activities. The Microsoft-owned company opened the office in 2022 after acquiring Oribi, an Israel-based analytics startup founded by Iris Shoor, for an estimated $80 million to $90 million. At the time, LinkedIn said Oribi's technology would improve campaign attribution and measure website conversions. A LinkedIn spokesperson said the company is proposing changes to some roles to focus its teams on top priorities. The closure comes as Microsoft cuts costs, including a recent move to lay off 9,000 employees, though available information does not directly tie the Israel layoffs to broader restructuring.

LinkedIn launches paid advice sessions for premium users to monetise expertise

LinkedIn is rolling out a new feature for premium business subscribers that allows them to offer paid one-to-one advice sessions directly from their profiles. The tool, called Advice Sessions, enables followers to book and pay for consultations without leaving the platform. Derek Notman, founder of Intrepid Wealth Partners, said the feature could be particularly valuable for financial advisers seeking growth through new client connections. "It allows me to offer whatever services I want and get paid for it," Notman said. The launch comes as North American wealth managers have enjoyed annual growth rates of about 10% in assets under management over the past decade, though only 30% of that growth was organic, with the rest mainly attributable to market performance.

Microsoft's $20B ad business gets new leader as AI reshapes advertising landscape
