Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree, equivalent work experience, or certifications.
  • A solid understanding of the internal Acuity Brands Lighting organization, industry specifics, and business strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.
  • Six to eight years of customer service, customer support, and/or sales experience.
  • Experience collecting, accessing, and interpreting data to provide insights to customers and partners.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for understanding sales data and order capture rate.
  • Proficiency with Agile applications, including the RFA tool, Quoting Tool, and Project Container.
  • Proficiency navigating Item Explorer and Windchill applications.
  • Expert knowledge of ADC, acuitybrands.com, and Acuity brand websites and their available information and tools.
  • Experience using Salesforce for customer support, engagement activities, standard work, and customer account information.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant business processes and one or more Acuity systems or tools.
  • Business acumen, organization skills, and interpersonal abilities.
  • The ability to multitask and work independently in a dynamic, demanding environment.
  • The ability to lead and drive directly or indirectly to achieve results and solve problems.
Responsibilities
  • Foster strong customer relationships and consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Leverage technical expertise, product knowledge, and a solution-oriented mindset to convert opportunities into orders.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Specification Sales Manager to identify and nurture opportunities and grow the project pipeline through designated tools.
  • Support the creation of no-charge sample orders in partnership with customer support associates.
  • Monitor and oversee the specification registration process and address registration conflicts with agents and partners.
  • Facilitate customized product and design requests using the Product Configurator and system resources to generate bills of material and submittals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for agents and customers' pre-sales needs throughout the process.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of Acuity Brands Lighting products to address product-feasibility inquiries.
  • Engage with customers to build rapport, establish trust, and understand their challenges.
  • Provide proactive insights, address potential obstacles, and contribute to tailored customer solutions.
  • Identify and address evolving pre-sales needs and foster collaboration within the team.
