Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience working with mechanical computer-aided design, bills of materials, engineering documentation, CAD data, or related technical information.
  • Hands-on experience using CAD software to open, navigate, and review existing mechanical CAD files.
  • Understanding of mechanical parts and assemblies, particularly those associated with datacenter systems, racks, or similar hardware.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform methodical, repetitive work accurately and consistently.
  • Ability to compare information across files or systems, identify discrepancies, and ask questions or seek clarification when something does not appear correct.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different departments and time zones.
Responsibilities
  • Review existing mechanical CAD files for datacenter system products.
  • Match bill-of-materials information to the appropriate mechanical CAD files and assemblies.
  • Compare CAD files and associated data across systems to verify that the correct files and information are matched.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies and work with mechanical designers and engineering teams to clarify and resolve them.
  • Support the SimReady digital twin project by reviewing and providing CAD data for conversion into digital twins.
  • Document findings and communicate questions or issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Perform detailed, repetitive validation work while maintaining a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with team members across different departments and global time zones.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience with PTC Creo CAD software.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management systems.
  • Experience with BOM validation, CAD data management, CAD libraries, engineering documentation, or CAD review and quality control.
  • Experience working with datacenter hardware, racks, mechanical assemblies, or similar complex hardware products.
