Requirements
  • Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification.
  • Previous experience in an industrial construction environment.
  • Valid safety tickets, including OSSA, CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, and Confined Space.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with cranes and rigging and select appropriate size and weight ratings.
  • Physical ability to perform the job duties, including bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to contribute to a safe team environment and follow company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fiberglass valves, pipes, and fittings.
  • Install valves, pumps, fittings, supports, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as required.
  • Complete work in accordance with OCL standards, industry codes, and applicable regulations.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Apprentice Pipefitters.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Comply with company, client, and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
