  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry
  • Knowledge of products in the plumbing/aqueeduct industry is essential
  • Proven experience in sales and cold calling, ideally within the industry
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a changing environment and to work effectively within deadlines
  • Ability to work independently to manage the territory and accounts assigned
  • Ability to develop and maintain robust business relationships
  • Demonstrated initiative with ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize work and multitask
  • Bilingual French and English is an asset
Responsibilities
  • Communicate with current clients to secure the continuation of sales and maintain robust relationships with them
  • Optimize the current client base by promoting and selling current and new products and services to our clients
  • Provide professional, efficient and effective solutions to clients
  • Provide price proposals, technical support, literature and other documents and support to clients
  • Develop new potential clients by examining market opportunities and needs of potential clients, offering products and services tailored to their needs and selling them solutions
  • Communicate client concerns about inventory and delivery to preserve client loyalty and ensure trends evolve according to changing client needs
  • Advise branches on the competitiveness of prices to achieve margin objectives while ensuring flexibility to obtain large-volume contracts and/or new client accounts
  • Proactively communicate with branch management on all aspects of client alliances to ensure client and branch expectations are continuously satisfied and in accordance with contract terms, and that any issues are addressed immediately
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on new products and services as well as market conditions to clients and to branch managers
  • When appropriate, participate in trade shows, training and product meetings
Desired Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in business administration, plumbing or a related discipline would be an asset
  • Bilingual French and English is an asset
