Senior Conference & Events Executive

Job Description

Reporting to the Conference & Events Sales Manager, you will play a key role in bringing events to life across Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre. From the initial handover through to event completion, you will coordinate the details, build strong client relationships and ensure every event is delivered seamlessly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of conferences, events, sporting groups and exclusive-use events.
• Prepare accurate Banquet Event Orders and coordinate requirements across clients and operational teams.
• Lead planning meetings, site inspections and pre-event briefings.
• Maintain strong client communication throughout the event lifecycle.
• Manage event billing including payments, final invoicing, commissions and loyalty points.
• Maintain accurate event data and documentation using Delphi FDC.
• Work towards key department KPIs including client satisfaction and event delivery standards.

You are a confident and organised events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences.

You will bring:

• Previous experience in conference and events coordination with a positive can-do attitude.
• Strong client service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail.
• Confidence working to KPIs and client satisfaction targets.
• A calm and solutions-focused approach under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with event management systems, with Delphi FDC highly regarded.
