The Pure Storage Global Solution Architect (GSA) is a senior level technical role who works with Pure’s partners/clients, Pure colleagues (end-user sales, pre-sales account teams, and business/technical subject matter experts). The Global Solution Architect has an expert level understanding of IT industry trends, broad and deep IT industry experience and a high degree of business acumen. A robust infrastructure and storage foundation is just as crucial as an application and solution-oriented approach.

The GSA will be working in the forefront of Pure’s global sales capability. The GSI business is a growth area for Pure and the GSA is vital to engaging clients in conversations about their business and technology needs to help them transform to achieve their desired outcomes.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

• Drive strategic deals within existing GSI accounts and Pure white space accounts
• Define end-to-end solutions that utilize overall IT Industry and industry vertical best practices, and align to the commercial and financial strategy
• Build / maintain partner’s status while improving Pure’s partner process
• Work cross functionally with Pure’s line-of-business and product teams to drive relevant product features, integrations, and solutions.
• Establish technical credibility and cultivate/maintain relationships with existing and prospective partners/clients
• Devise sales / solution strategies generating additional and new revenue streams
• Stay current on technology trends, including the best of breed technology and industry trends relevant to the partner’s and customer's vertical market. Important to be familiar with the leaders and disruptors in their peer group
• Understand the business and benefits delivered by the proposed solution.  To improve delivery and adoption, provide input to key change program components. Identify and share items that are not aligned with the evolving solution
• Responsible for helping guide the sales team deliver the best solution proposal in a dynamically-evolving hyper-competitive environment
• Become a trusted and collaborative conduit between sales, engineering, and product management
• Identify key trends and map customer challenges/needs to Pure’s technology strategy
• Inspire and ignite excitement internally and externally around the company's long-term vision and ability to execute against the market trend while being the best choice for customers’ business
• Help maintain the company technical culture in an effort to continue to retain and attract top technical talent
• Mentor and provide guidance to other SA’s 
• Take the lead in marketing activities - roadshows, FlashCrew events and webinars
• Be an active creator of social media content (e.g. blogs, posts, etc)

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 12 + years of experience in technical leadership expertise
• Product experience across technology vendors within the specific region
• Outstanding communication skills including written, verbal, and diagrammatic. Demonstrate the ability to simplify ideas for an non-technical and technical audience
• Strong technical prowess, including good working knowledge of storage, compute, database, networking, virtualization and emerging technologies (e.g., new stack, AI/ML and/or Big Data Analytics). Collaboration in the community and on social media is an advantage
• Combine big-thinking strategic perspective with a detail-oriented problem solving
• Entrepreneurial, ambitious approach coupled with a strong passion to make a difference
• Strong executive presence and ability to evangelize on a wide range of topics
• Work collaboratively across the broader Pure Storage organization
• Proficient in driving for results, with a high degree of accountability. Able to change focus and pace to match dynamically-evolving hyper-competitive environment

The annual base salary range is: $174,000-287,000.Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
