Requirements

A minimum of two years experience in hospice.
Previous clinical experience in home health, long-term care, oncology or geriatric nursing.

Responsibilities
Assist the Compliance Officer in conducting monthly reviews at assigned locations to ensure compliance and assume primary responsibility for formulation and execution of an action plan to correct findings.
Work directly with clinical staff in assigned locations to ensure quality-nursing care according to the established plan of care in order to maximize the comfort as well as the health of the patient and their families through mentorship and education.
Make regular visits to facilities to assess customer service, provide education, resolve complaints, and evaluate service provision.
Conduct investigations as directed by the Compliance Officer.
Ensure timely follow up and resolution of complaints or concerns, as directed by supervisor.
Provide ongoing monitoring of quality in assigned locations.
Partner with clinical staff in assigned locations for review of documentation monitoring accuracy and completeness of clinical records.
Attend quality reviews and surveys for assigned locations.
Assist in writing plans of correction for statements of deficiencies, as directed by supervisor.
Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking a compassionate prover performer for the role of RN Regional Quality Assurance. The Regional Quality Assurance Nurse is the primary resource for compliance in assigned locations. Works closely with the Compliance Officer.The Regional Quality Assurance Nurse ensures that the quality of care for patients is assured and that the client’s/caregiver’s expectations are met in the clinical care areas. Qualifications
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
A minimum of two years experience in hospice, and previous clinical experience in home health, long-term care, oncology or geriatric nursing. Utilization review, compliance, QI experience preferred.
Previous experience in dealing with client organizations and management functions.
Knowledge of Nursing theory and practice
Knowledge of medications for the purpose of reading signs and symptoms of side effects.
Ability to deal with a variety of personalities and situations.
Base knowledge of confidentiality with patient information.
Demonstrates active listening skills.
Management experience.
Knowledge of conducting investigations, quality reviews, writing plans of correction.
