Alkami customers prevent over $263 million in fraud with BioCatch.

Alkami customers prevent over $263 million in fraud with BioCatch. Oct 09, 2026, 10:00 ET Annual results from the Alkami-BioCatch partnership demonstrate the impact of behavior-based fraud prevention and highlight customer experiences from Gate City Bank and Raiz Federal Credit Union. PLANO, Texas, Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Alkami Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALKT) ("Alkami"), a digital sales and service platform provider for financial institutions in the U.S., today announced that its customers using BioCatch through the Alkami Digital Banking Platform prevented over $263M in fraud during 2025, according to data shared by BioCatch. The results are being shared during Alkami's Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a time that highlights the importance of maintaining strong security practices throughout the year. Cybercriminals use a range of tactics to gain access to online banking accounts, from harvesting credentials through phishing attempts to manipulating users into surrendering confidential information. BioCatch Account Takeover Protection analyzes behavioral, device, and session signals in real time as account holders interact with digital banking, establishing a baseline for legitimate activity. It can identify deviations, such as unusual navigation, interaction patterns, or transaction behavior that may indicate a compromised account or active takeover attempt. "BioCatch gives our customers another way to recognize suspicious activity during a digital banking session without introducing friction for customers or members," said Brad Cranford, director, product management at Alkami. "The 2025 results show how behavioral and session signals are helping financial institutions detect account takeover risk earlier, giving them an opportunity to intervene before suspicious activity becomes a financial loss and helping protect the account holder relationship in the process." Each digital banking session is assigned a risk score that financial institutions can use to determine how activity should be handled. Financial institutions set their own thresholds based on their tolerance for potential fraud, allowing them to tailor the response to their security strategy. "Effective fraud prevention ultimately comes down to recognizing risk early enough to do something about it," said Jay Whoriskey, vice president of global partners and alliances at BioCatch. "Together, BioCatch and Alkami give banks and credit unions continuous visibility into user intent throughout every millisecond of every digital banking transaction, enabling those financial institutions to recognize account takeover in time to stop it. Preventing more than $263 million in fraud in a single year serves as a powerful demonstration of what behavioral intelligence can do at scale." Recent customer success stories exemplified the impact of Alkami and BioCatch's strategic partnership. Powered by Alkami's integrated partner ecosystem, Gate City Bank leverages BioCatch to proactively identify account takeover and suspicious behavior. The bank reported a 97% account takeover capture rate and $650K in deterred fraud loss over the last six months. Similarly at Raiz Federal Credit Union, the team deployed a layered security strategy and was able to prevent more than $286K in fraud in the first year, in combination with their other layered security solutions. BioCatch is available through the Alkami Alliance partner ecosystem and connects with the Alkami Digital Banking Platform. About Alkami Alkami provides a digital sales and service platform for U.S. banks and credit unions. Our unified Platform integrates onboarding, digital banking, and data and marketing - each solution can stand alone, but together they deliver more - to help institutions onboard, engage, and grow relationships. As the future shifts toward Anticipatory Banking, we help data-informed bankers meet the moment with technology that drives action. About BioCatch BioCatch prevents fraud and financial crime by recognizing patterns in human behavior, continuously collecting more than 3,000 anonymized data points - keystroke and mouse activity, touch screen behavior, AI agent usage, jailbroken devices, and more - as people interact with their digital banking platforms. With these inputs, BioCatch's AI and machine-learning models continuously assess both user intent and any signs of coercion or manipulation throughout every millisecond of every digital banking session, allowing banks to distinguish the criminal from the legitimate in real time. Insights drawn from across the entire network of BioCatch institutions further amplify the power and accuracy of that real-time risk-scoring. As of the end of H1 2026, more than 370 financial institutions deploy BioCatch solutions, analyzing 19 billion user sessions per month and protecting more than 760 million users on more than 1.8 billion devices around the world from fraud and financial crime. Police FCU goes live on Mahalo platform in tandem with core conversion.

Police FCU goes live on Mahalo platform in tandem with core conversion. Police Federal Credit Union has completed a simultaneous digital banking implementation and core system migration, going live on Mahalo Banking's Thoughtful Banking platform at the same time as it converted its back-end infrastructure to Corelation KeyStone. The Washington D.C.-area credit union serves more than 13,000 members and holds assets exceeding $178 million. The dual-track project is notable for its scope. Running a core conversion and a digital banking replacement in parallel is operationally demanding, and many institutions sequence them separately to limit risk. Police FCU's decision to execute both concurrently suggests either high confidence in vendor co-ordination or a strategic priority to avoid a prolonged period on legacy infrastructure. What changed for members. The practical changes for members centre on two areas: payment flexibility and fraud controls. External account transfers, which allow members to move funds between Police FCU and accounts held at other financial institutions, are now available through the new platform. Integrated fraud protection has been added across digital channels, though the release did not specify the underlying detection mechanism or the provider behind it. On the operational side, Police FCU says the real-time connection between the Corelation KeyStone core and the Mahalo front end reduces the manual reconciliation processes that typically arise when a digital layer is loosely coupled to a core. Tim Doyle, president and chief executive of Police FCU, said the collaboration between Mahalo, internal staff and Corelation was central to keeping the project on schedule. "Conversions naturally come with a learning curve, but Mahalo made the process seamless for both our staff and our members," he said. Market context. The credit union technology stack is a consolidating market. A relatively small number of core providers, including Corelation, Fiserv, Jack Henry and FIS, underpin the majority of US credit unions, and digital banking layers are increasingly expected to offer certified, pre-built integrations to those cores rather than custom middleware. Mahalo's positioning as a deep-integration specialist in the credit union segment places it alongside competitors such as NCR Atleos, Q2 and Alkami, all of which compete for the same community and mid-tier credit union clients. The neurodiverse accessibility functionality that Mahalo highlights in its company description, described as the first fully integrated offering of its kind in online banking, is a differentiator that sits outside the usual competitive metrics of feature parity or pricing. Whether it translates into a durable commercial advantage depends on how quickly the broader sector follows, and on whether credit union procurement teams weight accessibility as a selection criterion. Regulatory pressure on credit unions to modernise payment infrastructure is building in the United States. The National Credit Union Administration has signalled ongoing interest in operational resilience and third-party vendor risk, both of which become more relevant when a credit union relies on a tightly coupled stack of core and digital providers from separate vendors. Police FCU's implementation adds a data point to the case that tight core-to-digital integration can be achieved without a single-vendor lock-in model. Denny Howell, chief operating officer of Mahalo, described the deployment as reflecting a shared commitment to innovation and said the company would continue to expand Police FCU's digital capabilities over time. The next milestones to watch are whether additional payment rails, such as real-time payments via the RTP network or FedNow, are added to the platform, and whether the credit union reports measurable reductions in call-centre volume as self-service adoption grows. Alkami and Provident Bank launch unified Account Opening across 135 branches.

Alkami and Provident Bank launch unified Account Opening across 135 branches. Provident Bank has deployed Alkami's MANTL platform across its 135-branch network to unify digital and physical account opening. For fintech professionals, this move signals a shift toward omnichannel parity where complex fiduciary and business accounts are no longer tethered to legacy manual workflows, allowing $25 billion institutions to compete with agile neobanks on speed while maintaining branch-heavy relationship models. What was announced. Provident Bank, a financial institution with over $25 billion in assets, has successfully launched MANTL Business Account Opening and Retail Account Opening. The implementation spans the bank's entire 135-branch network and involves more than 800 team members. By adopting a single platform for both digital and in-branch channels, the bank aims to eliminate the friction caused by disparate legacy systems and modernize the experience for both employees and customers. The rollout allows customers to open a variety of account types online or in person, including minor accounts and individual retirement accounts (IRAs). For more complex needs, branch staff can now utilize modernized, standardized workflows to open personal and business fiduciary accounts, revocable and irrevocable trust accounts, estate accounts, and escrow accounts. This transition was executed in tandem with a major core system conversion, representing a significant overhaul of the bank's technological foundation. The launch coincides with a broader industry trend toward digitizing the physical branch. According to the data, in-branch account opening has become the highest-volume growth channel for the MANTL platform in 2026, reaching nearly 90,000 booked applications in a single month. By refining existing processes rather than simply digitizing old ones, the bank and MANTL focused on change management and customized training to ensure high adoption rates among the 800 employees now using the system across the organization. "Our partnership with MANTL is built on a shared vision and a strong level of trust in how technology can enhance the customer experience. By bringing our digital and branch account opening capabilities together on one Platform, we're creating a competitive advantage for Provident while making the experience simpler and more consistent for both our customers and our team members. Just as important, we're investing in our people by giving them the technology, training, and tools they need to be there for our customers whenever and however they choose to engage with us, whether online, in a branch or through our contact center." Scott Hurlbert, senior vice president, digital channels director at Provident Bank. The companies involved. Alkami Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALKT) is a prominent provider of digital sales and service platforms for financial institutions in the United States. Based in Plano, Texas, the company has established a significant footprint in the fintech sector, with its solutions frequently utilized by credit unions and regional banks looking to modernize their digital offerings. Alkami provides the MANTL platform as a core part of its ecosystem, focusing on automating the account opening process to drive growth and efficiency. MANTL is a technology provider that specializes in digitizing the onboarding process for banks and credit unions. The platform is designed to integrate deeply with existing core banking systems, a feature that was central to the Provident Bank implementation. Provident Bank itself is a major regional player with over $25 billion in assets. Operating a network of 135 branches, the bank serves a diverse customer base requiring both standard retail products and complex fiduciary services. This implementation marks a major step in the bank's digital transformation, moving away from the "siloed" approach that often characterizes traditional banking operations where branch and digital experiences are managed through separate, incompatible technologies. What FF News has reported before. FF News has tracked Alkami's expansion closely, with 75 previous reports on the company's market moves. Recently, Ascento Capital covered how Alkami's MANTL Hits 1 Million In-Branch Applications, a milestone that highlights the growing importance of physical branch modernization. The platform's efficiency was also demonstrated when Raiz FCU Slashes Account Opening Times from Nine Days to Four Minutes with Alkami. What this means. The unification of branch and digital account opening at a $25 billion bank suggests that the "digital-first" era is evolving into a "digital-everywhere" reality. For the industry, the pressure is no longer just about having a functional mobile app; it is about ensuring that complex, high-value products like fiduciary and estate accounts can be handled with the same speed as a basic checking account. This puts significant pressure on legacy core providers who have historically struggled with cross-channel consistency. The success of this rollout raises a critical question for the sector: can traditional banks maintain their "relationship" advantage if they fail to bridge the technological gap between their physical and digital storefronts?
