  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of direct experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing production of industrial equipment, or aerospace or automotive products
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Excellent people management skills, strong leadership skills and analytical skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, and results driven
  • Experience with 3D CAD system (Solidworks) and PLM system
  • Understanding of capabilities of the following processes: CNC machining, Welding, Vacuum Brazing, 3D Printing, CMM inspection
  • Experience managing mechanical and electrical parts inspection and test (geometric, material, pressure integrity, Helium Leak checking.)
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in semiconductor, thin film solar cells, hard disk industry is a big plus
  • Knowledge of UHV vacuum manufacturing equipment and associated sensors and components (Pumps, valves, pressure sensors, spectrometers, MFC's, pressure controllers, etc.)
  • Experience scaling up operations from low volume to high
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM, Oracle NetSuite
  • Direct engineering work experience designing mechanical or electrical products
  • Familiarity with a wide range of materials (plastics, metals, ceramics) and their compatibility, applications, and manufacturing suitability and limitations
  • Experience with PLC systems and troubleshooting
Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement and production schedules, quality control, supplier relationships and assembly workers with the goal to deliver equipment on time and achieve highest OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency)
  • Work closely with an experienced team of mechanical, electrical, software, and materials engineers, and will be responsible for taking their designs and requests into full scale production, sometimes starting from proof-of-concept state
  • The ideal candidate is independent, will take ownership of their role in the company, and has a willingness to learn new skills to tackle challenges outside their expertise
  • Implement Preventive / Predictive maintenance program
  • Sustain and improve the key performance indices of the equipment through continuous improvement activities / projects
  • Establish indirect spare inventory system for key equipment
