July 16, 2026 Mate Precision Technologies will continue operating independently under its own brand, as TRUMPF expands its punching, bending and sheet metal fabrication tooling portfolio, including support for machines from major manufacturers. ANOKA, Minn., July 15, 2026 - TRUMPF, a leading high-tech company offering machine tools for sheet metal fabrication, laser technology, and solutions for the semiconductor industry, today announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Mate Precision Technologies, a global leader in metal cutting and forming products and solutions. Mate will continue to operate independently in the market under its existing brand, with its management and international teams remaining in place. The partnership with Mate significantly expands TRUMPF's punching and bending tool portfolio to support customers using a broad range of machines, including those from other manufacturers. Until now, TRUMPF has offered bending and punching tools compatible exclusively with its own machines to customers. The partnership also strengthens TRUMPF's market position in the United States, Canada and Mexico. At the same time, TRUMPF's extensive global footprint opens new opportunities for Mate. Together, the companies will serve customers across a wide range of industries, delivering a more complete sheet metal processing toolkit from a single source. At Tube 2006, taking place 13-17 April in Düsseldorf, high-tech company Trumpf will display its latest 'state of the art' TruLaser Tube 7000 laser tube cutting machine. With 9kW of laser power, it processes greater wall thicknesses at speed using nitrogen as its cutting gas. For example, with 8mm-thick mild steel, productivity increases by up to 30% and feed rates by up to 150%. This enables companies to increase their throughput and reduce costs per part. This solution also gives users significantly more flexibility in laser tube processing by enabling them to cut greater wall thicknesses. Trumpf product manager Lucas Stix said: "Flexibility and productivity are paramount in today's laser tube processing. On the one hand, users expect maximum speed and accuracy for components with small diameters. On the other hand, they want to use the same machine to process very large diameters, sometimes also with large wall thicknesses. The TruLaser Tube 7000 combines these opposing requirements, and we have further increased the maximum tube size and possible wall thickness compared to the previous model." Thanks to a significantly increased outer circle of 290mm, square tubes measuring 203.2 x 203.2mm, round tubes with a diameter of 273mm, and rectangular tubes with a side length of up to 254mm can all be processed. The machine also cuts small tubes with diameters of 12mm or more extremely quickly and precisely. To evaluate the raw material, Trumpf has expanded the proven 'ScanLine' function to include the 'Quality Pilot'. If the material is out of shape or of poor quality, ScanLine uses light section sensors to measure the tolerances and compensate deviations. With the new additional 'Quality Pilot' function, the machine independently decides whether ScanLine measurements are necessary and how often they should be performed, depending on the raw material quality of each individual tube. This allows users to avoid unnecessary measurement cycles and save time. The new 'ObserveLine Comfort' function also enables users to achieve maximum part quality. After processing, the machine's cutting head moves over the cut contour and uses a weak laser pulse to check whether the scrap has fallen completely out of the tube. Users benefit not only from greater process reliability, but also from reduced manual reworking. Additional freedom With the new 'ObserveLine Edge' technology, pre-punched tubes and profiles can also be easily further processed. The machine independently uses the laser beam to identify the existing contours in the tube and automatically adapts the part's program accordingly. This gives companies additional freedom, especially when they want to process purchased semi-finished products. With the new generation of the TruLaser Tube 7000, users have full access to Trumpf's digital service world. For example, the digital 'Condition Monitoring' service analyses machine data in real time and provides an early warning if components are wearing out or values deviate from their target range. This helps prevent failures before they lead to production stoppages. The 'LoadMaster Tube' loading device, which is included as a standard feature, ensures low-labour operation. The 'Tilt-and-Lift Station' enables a fully automatic connection between the machine and a tube storage system and the supplementing of automatic unloading solutions. In combination with the appropriate software solutions and interfaces, companies can seamlessly integrate the TruLaser Tube 7000 into a smart factory. Trumpf is launching the TruLaser Tube 7000 with various loading and unloading lengths, with a maximum of 12.5m. The machine is tailored for companies that want to remain flexible, produce both small and large quantities profitably, and, at the same time, respond to changing requirements. March 31, 2026 TRUMPF will show the TruLaser Series 3000 Bevel Cut Edition, a laser cutting machine with special technology that automatically prepares parts for welding during the cutting operation to reduce downstream processes. IMAGE: TRUMPF TRUMPF will show some of its latest laser cutting, punching and bending technology at the 2026 FABTECH Canada show taking place from June 9 to 11 at the Toronto Congress Centre. In booth 3001, TRUMPF will highlight the recently introduced TruBend 3000 series press brake, TruLaser 3040 Bevel Cut Edition flat sheet laser cutting machine, TruPunch 5000 punching machine, and TruBend 1000 series press brake. TruBend 3000 series press brake TRUMPF is presenting a completely redesigned version of its TruBend 3000 bending machine series that will be produced in North America. The new press brakes are particularly fast and precise, easy to program, and save energy. These enhancements are made possible by some of the technologies found in TRUMPF's higher-end TruBend 5000 series machines. TRUMPF has succeeded in reducing the TruBend 3000's throughput time by around 40 percent compared to the previous models. Depending on machine type and size, the TruBend 3000 will offer a press force ranging from 93 to 253.5 tons and a bending length of 6.5 to 13 feet. TruLaser 3040 Bevel Cut Edition laser cutting machine TRUMPF will also show a laser cutting machine that automatically prepares parts for welding to reduce downstream processes. The TruLaser Series 3000 Bevel Cut Edition produces beveled cutting edges (chamfers) on the top and bottom edge of the component during cutting to ensure optimum preparation of welding edges. The machine can apply chamfers to sheets of up to 1 inch thick and handle complex bevel geometries with ease. The cutting unit is equipped with two additional rotary axes, compact drive motors, and a nozzle specifically developed for bevel cutting. The cutting head can be tilted in all directions up to an angle of 50 degrees to achieve a range of edge geometries. Countersinking, which is often a manual labor process, can now be eliminated with single-step processing. The machine moves with the high dynamic ranges of a TruLaser 3000 series making it a universal fabrication tool. TruPunch 5000 punching machine Current demand for TRUMPF punching machines is high. The requirements of the data center industry are closely matched to TRUMPF punches and four-meter automation capability. TRUMPF punching technology enables multiple work steps to be combined into a single machine process which reduces changeover times, increases throughput, and boosts productivity. These machines are easily linked to automation and can be connected to bending processes to buffer cycle times and avoid unproductive downtime. On display at the show, TRUMPF's TruPunch 5000 sets high standards for productivity, process reliability, and flexibility. The high rotational speed of the C axis, (8.3 rotations per second), facilitates fast tapping, as well as productive processing of complex contours. Due to the powerful hydraulic drive, operators can punch with up to 1,600 strokes per minute and mark parts with 3000 strokes per minute. Intelligent components and smart functions increase productivity and process reliability. TruBend 1000 series press brake TRUMPF will also show an attractively priced press brake introduced last year for companies entering the metal bending market. Featuring the Right Angle (RA) control system, the TruBend 1000 series is extremely easy to program. An intuitive, user-friendly control and interface make operation similarly straightforward. The TruBend 1000 series machines are available with press forces ranging from 110 to 353 tons and bending edges from 10 to 13.1 feet and can be used to produce a broad spectrum of bent parts.
