Requirements
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience in Financial Services in Business Risk, Operational Risk, Control Testing Compliance, and/or governance and control
  • Excellent analytical skills when it comes to problem-solving including the ability to identify and address root causes through feasible and effective corrective actions.
  • Ability to ‘connect the dots’ by identifying issue inter-dependencies and how their impact in addressing root causes and underlying risks holistically.
  • Experience in working with the various risk and control systems and reporting requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging. Professional ability and presence to interact with seniors across all lines of defense.
  • Self-motivated, highly adaptive, detail oriented, and demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while still maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow with a demonstrated passion for excellence and contributing to high performing teams.

  • Proven experience in Risk Management, including monitoring and identification of risks within relevant department and enterprise organization

Responsibilities
  • Ensure complete adoption of the MCA within businesses and functions as required by MCA/RCSA Standards
  • Ensure complete scope of operations for MCA/RCSA and timely / quality completion of MCA activities by process and control owners, including oversight of timeliness, accuracy, and completeness
  • Oversee quality, completeness, and accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework
  • Produce and assess MCA and Control Design quality metrics and Share report results across businesses and functions, prior to aggregation from Central Controls team, to ensure standardization
  • Embed a strong risk assessment and governance approach around delivery of new and existing products, services and activities and services as well as significant organizational, product, systems and process changes
  • Lead MCA Control Design Assessment transformation work as required by the Global Consent Order remediation program, including governance and reporting
  • Embed a strong risk assessment and governance approach around Control Design
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of risk and control professionals based in multiple locations globally.
  • Be a trusted advisor and central point of contact across MCA for senior stakeholders within and outside of Client Organization.
  • Drive communication and solutioning through Risk Forums at various levels of executive management
  • Establish effective governance for direct and indirect initiatives contributing to the remediation of identified risks
