  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related fields
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience
  • MS Office skills required (basic formula, Vlookup, Pivot Tables)
  • Team player with ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, audit, reconcile, and process bi-weekly US payroll
  • Regularly reconcile & audit HSA changes that impact payroll
  • Assist with auditing & back-up bi-weekly Canadian payroll
  • Process terminations & run off cycle payrolls as applicable
  • Review, address, and triage the payroll inbox
  • Download, label, and assign incoming mail
  • Assist employees with questions related to their paycheck
  • Assist with benefit questions related to their pay (401K, HSA, FSA)
  • Maintain PTO Purchase Plan
  • Provide ad hoc support and assistance to the payroll team during bi-weekly payroll and monthly bonus payroll
  • Support other departments as needed with queries related to payroll and benefits transactions
  • Assist with process documentation as well as in-house non-standard process documentation
  • Assist with special projects as assigned including yearend tasks

  • Canadian & US cross-border payroll tax experience a plus
