Requirements
- A minimum 7+ years experience in AAA development with at least 1 shipped AAA title in a leadership capacity
- Experience working with Art Directors/Creative Directors and spearheading translation of sophisticated art vision
- Previous experience leading large art teams for AAA game development, working with hybrid/distributed teams, including co-dev, a plus
- Profound knowledge of the AAA game asset creation pipeline
- UE4-5 Experience
- A caring and compassionate mentor and coach
- Proficiency in industry-standard 2D and 3D software tools, such as Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a critical eye for detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities
- Work with Art Direction and the Art Leadership Team to ensure alignment and support of the Art Vision in the World
- Align your team's work with the Art Vision and Production Strategy for the project
- Set and manage quality expectations to ensure the successful creation and execution of Character Art by your team
- Establish the benchmarks for the Character Art realization in the game
- Develop and maintain appropriate references and documentation to guide your team
- Partner with stakeholders in other teams to ensure that requirements and needs are being met to deliver on the Character Art needs of the game
- Partner with Tech Art, Animation, and Cinematics to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to the realization of the Characters in support of the Creative Direction
- Act as a stakeholder for the recruitment and hiring of artists for your team
- Participate in reviews to validate the quality of the implementation of Character Art in the game
- Train and empower artists to integrate art direction in their work to unleash their creativity and the ownership of their work
- Assist in the preparation of documentation and presentations
