The Role:

As the Design Engineer you’ll live at the intersection of code craft and aesthetic judgment. You will partner directly with the CEO (Jordan Taylor) and the design team to invent, prototype, and ship novel creative tooling on the web. Experiences that feel magical to industrial designers but are grounded in robust, maintainable systems.

How You’ll Do It:

• 40% Prototype the unheard-of: Turn Figma frames, motion studies, or half‑sketched ideas into live demos within hours. Throw them away, refine, or harden whatever best answers the design question.
  

• 40% Build & ship user-facing features: Craft high‑performance TypeScript/React views and canvases. Polish micro‑interactions, motion, and accessibility until they “disappear” into the experience.
  

• 15% Evolve the design system: Extend our component library, tokens, and animation primitives so the whole team moves fast and coherently.
  

• 5% Design partnership: Sit in crits, run designer play‑tests, and surface interaction insights that reshape the roadmap.

Compensation:

The base pay range targeted for this position is: $170,000 - $235,000. This role is eligible for equity.

The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, including experience, location, and other business considerations. The overall package described in this post applies to W2, U.S. based employees- final package will be determined by local requirements and employment laws and accessibility.
