Requirements
  • Applicant must have experience with the application of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on operating systems Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • System Admin experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Understanding of network administration tools, techniques, and methods.
  • Fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS)
  • Active Directory Domain Administrator – Manage and maintain: Sites and Services, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects, Computer/User Objects, LDAP, Authentication protocols, AD Permission delegation using the least privilege methodology, Dynamic/Static AD groups, as well as other Domain services in accordance with MS best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Current versions of Windows (e.g. Server 2019, 2022, Windows 10, 11 Enterprise)
  • Configure and execute vulnerability scanning tools, SCAP/STIG scans (SCC Tool, OpenSCAP, etc.), and perform remediating steps based on findings on Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure /add new services as necessary.
  • Experience with SIEM tool, anti-virus software, etc. other cybersecurity software
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Windows domain architecture experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Server products
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required certification: DoD 8571.01M, DoD 8140.01M approved Information Assurance-Technical (IAT) Level II (or an IAT Level III) certification such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, etc.
Responsibilities
  • Designs, implements and operations/maintains the sites or enterprise’s server, storage, database, network, client, or communication infrastructure.
  • Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercised considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Effects of decisions are long lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities but provides technical leadership and guidance to other Systems Administrators. This includes, but is not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving technically related work problems. It also includes interaction with other technical teams and assisting in the management of vendor relationships.
