What you’ll be doing…

As a Senior Software Development Engineer/Business Analyst, you will be responsible for leading the architecture and development of our Billing platform. In this role, you will be responsible for Planning, designing and coordinating end to end SDLC life cycle for software improvements and new product(s).

You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

• Participate in story grooming calls with business stakeholders and assess billing impacts

• Responsible for developing functional architecture for the Billing suite of applications and providing solutions/designs for Business and Transformational programs.

• In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating End to End project life cycle with several stakeholders including planning, designing, developing, coding, and testing both software systems or applications for software improvements and new products, with a focus on delivering engaging user experiences.

• Writing software requirements specifications and doing High Level Designs & Low Level Designs

• Conceptualizing and developing prototypes quickly in working with the Business Teams and doing proof of concepts.

• Writing relational and/or NoSQL database queries for databases like Oracle, Cassandra etc

• Engaging in Design discussions, contributing development and delivery of the Projects within the timeline effectively.

• Architecting and developing effective and efficient solutions and building reusable components 

• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze a process and provide improvement recommendations. 

• Developing and deploying scalable AI/ML models and intelligent agents to automate processes, derive insights, and enhance system capabilities.

• Continuous Innovation and implementation to drive adoption and scalability of the platform.

• End-to-end ownership of the platform, managing user expectations, prioritization, and delivery in a fast-paced agile environment.

• Creating JIRA stories and JIRA dashboards

What we’re looking for…

You are self-driven with experience in design and implementation of complex and distributed systems, particularly in building high-performance backend application frameworks. You have a passion for seeking engineering excellence and adopting new technologies. Ability to drive for success by working with multi-functional teams.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience

• Experience in K2View tool/Fabric with hands on for full utilization of the tool and its abilities

• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and UNIX/Linux environments.

• Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with various SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.

• Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment processes.

• Experience in NetCracker RBM (Rating & Billing Manager) or any other billing system is preferred

• Experience telecommunications billing domain is preferred

• Posses strong telecom rating & billing knowledge

• Knowledge on 5G, LTE, 4G, 3G telecom technologies is a must

• Experience working with Python,SQL/PLSQL

• Ability to read and understand source code written in C/C++, Java, Python, Perl, Unix Shell scripting etc

• Ability to implement the AI Use cases and improve efficiency by implementation of tools like CO PILOT and deriving frameworks for the use cases

• Experience with modeling techniques and implementations using Statistics and AI Algorithms (GenAI/NLP, Deep Learning, Cognitive Analytics, Optimization).

• Strong knowledge on Artificial Intelligence is preferred (Gemini, Copilot, NoteBookLm, Agentic AI, Prompt engineering etc)

• Familiarity with industry-leading AI models and platforms (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Phi, Meta LLaMA, AWS Bedrock), including their comparative strengths and outcomes.

• Proven experience in prompt engineering: designing, developing, and refining prompts for various LLMs and conducting A/B testing to optimize performance.

• Experience researching, prototyping, and implementing AI Agents and Agentic AI systems using frameworks like LangGraph, Langchain, Knowledge Graphs, and RAG.

• Experience designing and building scalable AI architectures with SLM and LLM models to meet business requirements.

• Demonstrated hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot, Codeium, or Cursor.

• Proficiency with business intelligence and dashboarding tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

• Experience with data mining techniques to extract usable data from valuable data sources.

• Ability to recognize potential Gen AI use cases and integrate them with standard company operations.

• Good understanding of Design Patterns and Architectural Patterns

• Good understanding of JIRA and how to manage user stories using JIRA

• Good understanding of DevOps and CI&CD integration

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• AI-related Certifications

• Experience with C/C++, SQL/PLSQL, PostgreSQL, Unix, Java EE/Spring Framework, Java microservices

• Knowledge of large-scale software architecture, networking and distributed systems, design patterns, and UNIX/Linux environments.

• Experience interacting with RESTful APIs

• Exposure to AWS architecture, concepts, and tools.

• Container platforms like Docker or relevant.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, JIRA).

• AWS and Kubernetes/OCP certification.

• Good understanding of security best practices and OWASP vulnerabilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• NGOSS & TMForum frameworks & certifications
