What are we looking for

We are looking for a highly skilled and accountable Technical Program Manager who can take full ownership of complex, cross-functional programs from start to finish. You will be responsible for orchestrating multiple teams in a cross-functional set up and ensuring programs align with the organization's overarching strategic goals.

The ideal candidate has an experience and good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ways of working of engineering teams. You must be able to lead and influence without direct authority, acting as the central point of contact for different functional managers. This role requires a self-starter who is not afraid to take accountability, proactively identify risks and continuously optimize processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Program Leadership and Ownership

  • Own and lead multiple programs across various teams and functions, ensuring they are executed from initiation to completion

  • Be accountable for the planning, execution and successful delivery of programs, ensuring they align with strategic goals and meet quality standards.

  • Proactively identify and manage dependencies, risks and issues to ensure seamless program execution.

• Stakeholder Management and Communication:

  • Effectively manage expectations for all stakeholders, from leadership to individual teams

  • Communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex information into understandable content.

  • Use strong problem-solving and negotiation skills to build trust and ensure clear, consistent communication.

• Strategic Planning and Alignment

  • Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to align program goals with organizational strategy and adjust priorities as needed.

  • Participating in strategic planning sessions to ensure programs support long-term objectives

  • Adjusting program plans and priorities as needed to respond to changes in the business environment.

• Program Management Excellence

  • Establish and refine program management frameworks and processes, including how deliverables are managed and tracked

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor program performance using data to inform decisions

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to less senior team members

Required skills

• Program & Project Management Expertise: At least five years of experience in program or project management, preferably in a software development setting within a tech company. You should have a proven ability to lead complex, multifaceted projects involving cross-functional teams.

• Software Delivery Expertise: You must have significant experience managing complex technical projects and a strong background in software delivery. This includes prior experience with the design, architecture or hands-on management of a software project.

• Stakeholder Management: You'll need to be an excellent networker, able to collaborate with geographically distributed teams across the organization. The ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders and leverage their expertise is essential for success in our complex environment.

• Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills. You must be able to explain complex ideas simply and tailor them to different audiences. You should be driven by a clear focus on value and impact, and have a strong sense of when to be hands-on versus when to delegate effectively.

• Adaptability: The ability to operate in complex environment, manage ambiguity and change

• Strategic & Analytical thinking: Possess a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be able to discuss topics and identify opportunities at the business, product and engineering levels, bridging the gap between them.
