Requirements
  • Proven experience as a facilities manager or similar leadership role in manufacturing, food production, or cannabis environments.
  • Strong understanding of facility systems, operations, and industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet performance goals.
  • Proficiency in data tracking, process improvement, and reporting systems.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Facility Agent Card.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, bend, or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature-controlled production areas.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor production teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Train and supervise technicians and staff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Assign daily tasks, oversee work quality, and foster accountability and collaboration.
  • Partner with Human Resources and department leaders on staffing, scheduling, and professional development initiatives.
  • Oversee daily production activities and ensure adherence to quality, compliance, and efficiency standards.
  • Manage facility systems, including equipment maintenance, repairs, and environmental controls.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance logs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance, materials, and outsourced services.
  • Establish and meet production key performance indicators, including throughput, quality control, and yield improvement.
  • Implement Just-In-Time inventory practices and manage materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local cannabis regulations.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and environmental health and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards and enforce safety protocols and personal protective equipment use.
  • Manage facility security, including surveillance, recordkeeping, and product tracking.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to maintain audit readiness and accurate reporting.
  • Work closely with corporate compliance teams.
  • Support quality management to uphold vendor standards and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Partner with cultivation and production leads to optimize throughput, yields, and cost efficiency.
  • Assist state and local regulators during inspections and audits.
  • Manage department budgets, control expenses, and plan for capital improvements.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for productivity, sustainability, and growth.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional certifications in manufacturing management, Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety, or cannabis production are a plus.
  • Experience with METRC and Dutchie.
