The Analytics and Business Intelligence team is a cross-collaborative team working with nearly all departments in the company. We are a creative and compassionate, data-driven group of actuaries, analysts, data scientists, and data engineers. We work together on larger projects but we also spend time driving our own analyses and working directly with internal and external stakeholders.
The Clients Insights Analytics Consultant role is important to our client consulting function and internal team development. It’s a multifaceted role offering the opportunity to collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and a variety of data to answer multiple questions. You will master our varied types of data from healthcare claims data, digital engagement data, product performance data, and operational data to provide client analytic insights and measure business opportunities. You will have a meaningful role with high visibility and help define what the future of dynamic, insightful healthcare analytics looks like!
What you’ll do:
- Champion continuous improvement of the team’s processes and tooling
- Cultivate culture of data analytics excellence
- Understand how to use data sources to answer specific business questions
- Interpret and translate quantitative data/results and understand the ’why’ behind the data, identifying the important insights that tell a story and creating strategies for strategic partners to promote improvement and change
- Collaborate with senior analytics consultants, internal stakeholders and clients and broker partners to understand the business need and improve important clinical and analytic insights to support decision making
- Provide analytic consultation with a focus on client satisfaction, client retention, and trend management
- Use logic and analytic skills to perform client analyses in response to business questions and communicate the findings, including data sources, methodology, outcomes and recommendations
- Develop strong relationships with all partners
- Write and review code written for analytics requests
- Support strategically advancing scalable, high-quality deliverables
Your skills and qualifications include:
- Bachelor Degree in a field such as Nursing, Public Health, Actuarial Science, Business Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Bioinformatics, or Health Administration and 4+ years of analytic work experience. An advanced degree is preferred.
- 2+ years experience working with external clients, large employers, brokers, or consultants.
- 2+ years experience requiring data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare and clinical data.
- Experience using SQL and basic python skills (or willingness to learn)
- Experience of healthcare benefits, terminology, and concepts and insurance economies.
- Experience of quantitative and qualitative standards and measures and statistical measures and concepts.
- Negotiation, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Translate nontechnical data requests into logical queries and visualizations
- Experience working with partners and working on data analytics requests
Pay Transparency Statement
Per Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and New York City’s Int. 1208-2018, the estimated salary range for this role if hired in Colorado is $64,000-$93,000, and for New York City is $88,800-$111,000. Compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado or New York City only, and this role is open to candidates outside of those locations.
