Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with reliable and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
  • Observe performance and provide feedback, hold team members accountable, and recognize strong guest experience moments.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve performance, align the team on behaviors and execution, celebrate wins, and elevate the guest experience.
  • Lead Guest Advocates, Service Advocates, and Front of Store Attendants in reducing wait times, providing friendly guest interactions, delivering quality service, resolving issues, driving loyalty, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Lead execution of onboarding and learning best practices, and close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
  • Use sales goals, business reporting, and guest insights to plan and execute daily and weekly workload, deliver store sales goals and guest engagement, and troubleshoot opportunity areas.
  • Support Target loyalty programs by ensuring the team can educate guests about benefits, features, and offerings.
  • Support the direct leader by following up on training completion, checking understanding, and supporting continuous education opportunities.
  • Conduct meaningful development conversations throughout team members’ career paths with guidance from the direct leader.
  • Personalize recognition and appreciation of team members to reinforce guest service behaviors and promote a positive guest-centric culture.
  • Help lead accountability through clear expectations and performance management of Service and Engagement behaviors.
  • Respond to guest shopping concerns by de-escalating situations and ensuring the team can resolve or address guest concerns and issues.
  • Ensure team members stay current on major promotions, brand launches, and events.
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team as directed by the direct leader.
  • Support team members in efficiently and accurately delivering pickup and Drive-Up orders, including Drive-Up returns and Starbucks, while following federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
  • Support guest services as needed.
  • Lead ethical conduct and compliance practices and hold others accountable.
  • Lead safety practices by modeling and recognizing safe behaviors, identifying and correcting hazards, assisting with incident response, and reporting and investigating injuries accurately and promptly.
  • Model physical security processes to enhance in-store security culture.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application, according to best practices.
  • Follow safe and secure training and processes when serving as a key carrier.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leader-on-duty responsibilities during assigned shifts based on store needs.
  • Address store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.

  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
