About the Role
We are looking for an Investment Associate to support our fund expansion. In this role, you will play an instrumental role in Red Cell’s growth, working directly with the firm’s partners to develop and launch new strategies, refine investment theses within our target industries, strengthen our presence across the startup ecosystem, source, evaluate & execute investments, and support our portfolio companies through the formative stages of growth.
Responsibilities
- Continuously learn about emerging industry & technology trends to hone firmwide investment theses
- Represent Red Cell in the startup ecosystem, building relationships with startups, VCs & strategic partners
- Develop investment style, skills & pattern recognition by evaluating investments alongside firm partners
- Source early-stage investment opportunities across healthcare, cyber and national security
- Support incubations as they prepare to publicly launch and raise external capital
- Support firmwide growth through the development and launch of new funds
About You
- Strong desire to build a career in venture capital or the early-stage ecosystem
- Intellectually curious, with an insatiable appetite to learn about technology & business
- Ability to embrace risk, uncertainty & ambiguity to turn problems into growth opportunities
- Exceptional work ethic & personal drive to become a great investor or technology operator
- High agency, organized and accountable

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong research skills with ability to gather information from disparate sources
- Rigorous analytical skills with the ability to integrate & contextualize quantitative and qualitative data
- Great communicator with the ability to isolate key details & distill complex ideas into their simplest form
- Foundational financial skills required to understand businesses in financial terms & model investment returns
- Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to tell a compelling story using data
- 1–2 years of work experience, with a background in tech, consulting, or investment banking preferred
