Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact and advisor for Registered Student Organizations.
  • Manage new Registered Student Organization registration and annual re-registration processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to student organization officers and advisors.
  • Coordinate training and development opportunities, including Officer Orientation programs.
  • Maintain and update Registered Student Organization resources and educational materials.
  • Oversee organization-focused programs and events, including the annual Organization Fair.
  • Support student involvement marketing and outreach initiatives.
  • Manage Registered Student Organization event registration and student travel notification processes.
  • Partner with University Risk Management to review and maintain safety standards and procedures for high-risk organizations.
  • Assess Registered Student Organization programs and operations for effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as advisor to the Student Government Association and various Student Government Association Service Organizations.
  • Meet regularly with student leaders to provide mentorship and operational support.
  • Attend and support open and closed Student Government Association meetings.
  • Coordinate contracts and organizational logistics.
  • Assist with oversight of Student Government Association budgets, project funds, and financial processes.
  • Support leadership development and organizational effectiveness among student government leaders.
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of fall and spring Orientation programs.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor more than 40 student Orientation Leaders and Lead Orientation Leaders.
  • Manage Orientation program budgets and expenditures.
  • Coordinate with campus stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of Orientation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with partners across Academic Affairs, Facilities, ROTC, the Chancellor’s Office, Campus Events, and other departments.
  • Participate in Campus Opening Committee planning efforts for the start of each semester.
  • Supervise a student assistant supporting Registered Student Organization and departmental initiatives.
  • Serve as an administrator for the university’s student organization and event management software platform, Eagle Life (Campus Groups).
  • Assist with departmental budgeting, purchasing, and operational processes.
  • Serve as a University conduct officer and oversee the Registered Student Organization conduct process.
  • Collaborate on departmental initiatives related to Fraternity and Sorority Life, Leadership programs, Parent & Family Programs, Union operations, and campus-wide student engagement efforts.
  • Serve as a campus resource for event planning software and procedures, including Eagle Life and SchedulER.
  • Support departmental assessment initiatives and policy and procedure review processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field.
  • Three to five years of professional experience advising student organizations on a college campus.
  • Direct experience working with student government organizations.
  • Knowledge of best practices in student involvement, engagement, and community building.
  • Experience using Campus Groups or similar student organization management software.
  • Experience serving as a student conduct officer.
  • Active involvement in local, state, or national professional organizations related to student activities or higher education leadership.
