TLDR curates free, daily email newsletters that summarize the biggest tech, startup, and programming news in about five minutes. Readers get concise digests across specialized topics like AI, Web Dev, InfoSec, Data Science, and Product Management, delivered to millions of subscribers. The newsletters are produced by Dan Ni, who bootstrapped the venture and retains 100% ownership after previous success with Scraper API. The business makes money through advertising, selling sponsorships in newsletters to tech companies and brands (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare, Okta). TLDR differentiates itself by offering targeted, topic-specific email briefs to software engineers, founders, data scientists, and product managers, enabling advertisers to reach precise tech audiences. The company’s goal is to help busy tech professionals stay informed quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality or relevance.
