Requirements
  • 6+ years of industry experience in control software system design, with a strong foundation in control theory
  • 6+ years of experience working on control systems for vehicle platforms in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or related fields
  • Strong C++ fundamentals and production-level code implementation
  • Deep experience analyzing / simulating nonlinear vehicle dynamics
  • Strong knowledge of state estimation and signal processing techniques
Responsibilities
  • Develop motion control software algorithms for a safety-critical system
  • Analyze and improve control system performance in both offline and on-road execution environments
  • Develop and verify system robustness with disturbances, failure modes, and environmental conditions

Aurora is developing the Aurora Driver, an intelligent autonomous driving system designed for multiple vehicle types, including freight-hauling trucks and ride-hailing passenger vehicles. The technology incorporates a fusion of sensor types, high definition mapping data, and continuous training on public roads and in virtual tests to ensure safe and efficient autonomous transport.
