Requirements
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with demonstrated skills.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in aircraft interior inspection or a related aerospace quality role.
  • Ability to lead personnel and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the department.
  • Working knowledge of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
  • Familiarity with quality and inspection concepts and processes.
  • Ability to read blueprints, packing slips, invoices, and other customer-supplied data.
  • Ability to read measuring instruments.
  • Familiarity with engineering programs.
  • Capability to determine sample sizes for lots.
  • Mathematical knowledge and ability to apply it to problem-solving.
  • Strong time-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and handle multiple priorities within deadlines and take initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate in English in reading, writing, and verbal communication.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work outside core business hours as required.
  • Ability to climb and work on step stools and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to reach overhead.
  • Ability to work in a non-dust-free environment.
  • Ability to pass the Jaeger J-1 test in at least one eye, with natural or corrected 20/25 near-vision acuity, and distinguish and differentiate process colors.
  • Full range of motion with both hands.
  • Ability to work in stooping, kneeling, or standing positions and in cramped areas.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing and participate in applicable Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing, including random, post-accident, reasonable-cause, and return-to-duty testing.
  • Must be a US Person as defined for legal compliance purposes.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming products to verify documentation and conformance to purchase orders and engineering specifications.
  • Inspect aircraft wiring assemblies for compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Perform receiving inspections and generate formal inspection reports.
  • Complete FAA- and customer-required certification documents.
  • Create and maintain First Article Inspection reports in accordance with AS9102 or an equivalent standard.
  • Verify that all material and process certificates are included for traceability.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to accurately describe nonconforming conditions for rejected parts.
  • Work closely with the FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative and assist with part marking and packaging as required.
  • Keep management informed of inspection findings, quality issues, and corrective-action progress.
  • Maintain a neat, organized work area and assist with daily housekeeping in the department.
  • Meet target hours and complete schedules set by supervision.
  • Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and full-shift coverage.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
