Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate the work of engineers and drafting staff allocated to the project to ensure that their technical competence and performance meet requirements.
  • Programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the Design Engineering staff.
  • Work in conjunction with Management around resource planning processes to ensure resource requirement for the project’s design are met.
  • Administer technical briefs for sub-consultant engagement.
  • Prepare and control issue of the Project Design Management Plan.
  • Coordinate design interfaces with the Client’s other designers as required.
  • Manage Engineers/ Designers to ensure authorisation and issue of documents and drawings to the project team, vendors, sub-consultants, statutory authorities and other as necessary.
  • Coordinate responses to technical queries from contractors and other project staff in a timely manner.
  • Identify, investigate, record, monitor and report on actions, resolution and costs of identified design non-conformances.
  • Understand Sedgman standard specifications, typical/standard drawings, and calculations/simulations to reflect current industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance of project design team with the Sedgman’s ‘Design Management Systems’, including NCR’s.

  • Experience in heavy industry environment
