Requirements
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or prior work as a licensed electrician or supervisor.
  • Ability to lead a team of up to 20 electricians.
  • Required experience with electrical and power systems, including uninterruptible power supplies, switchgear, generators, and power distribution units.
  • Knowledge and application of relevant safety requirements for the specific work being performed, including recognizing and mitigating job-site hazards.
  • Ability to establish clear and realistic organizational goals and employee roles and responsibilities.
  • Ability to allocate resources to meet departmental priorities and align departmental goals with organizational goals.
  • A proven track record of producing highly accurate work with strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of service electricians.
  • Oversee, guide, and manage the work of contractors, vendors, suppliers, and employees.
  • Coordinate and plan work efficiently to ensure consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely deliverables for multiple projects.
  • Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and promote environmental stewardship and a health- and safety-focused work culture.
  • Work closely with the company’s management team in a decision-support capacity.
  • Manage electrical installation projects involving equipment for high-profile projects.
  • Monitor staff performance and progress, motivate and organize staff, and encourage teamwork to meet productivity targets.
  • Create a hazard-free and accident-free work environment.
  • Maintain staff motivation and focus on goals and priorities.
  • Maintain high-quality work standards and encourage others to meet similar standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous work as a licensed electrician or supervisor.
  • Experience managing electrical installation projects involving equipment for high-profile projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer-service orientation.
