Requirements
  • Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
  • Blood gas licensure is required if employed in the state of Nevada.
  • For hospitals that perform arterial punctures or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
  • Maintain all equipment in working order.
  • Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior inpatient hospital experience or a demonstrated desire and commitment to learn.
  • An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures or run blood gases.
