Leads a team of other writers, creating, editing, and maintaining simplified user documentation, including training guides, user guides, instruction manuals, journal articles, software documentation, product documentation, tutorials, etc. technical manuals.
Provides overall documentation support to both management and technical staffs within the CSIA Community.
Prepares documentation by applying the highest levels of industry and client standards, establishing proper formats in accordance with client requirements, reviewing and correcting draft materials as appropriate, supporting decisions as to appropriate text and graphic software to use for given jobs, etc.
Creates, implements, and tracks production of designed documents.
Works and communicates effectively with technical personnel (ex. software developers, product marketing, and product managers) to write and maintain high-quality documentation.
Plans, writes, edits and revise technical information and documents, including user manuals, general overviews, configuration/installation instructions, tutorials, test plans, and product specifications.
Assesses, analyzes and evaluates versatile audiences, including non-technical users, system administrators, integrators, and programmers.
Creates state of the art technical documents, including API Developer Guides, User Guides, In-Platform documentation such as welcome instructions and tooltips, Integration Guide, product documentation, and more.
Creates other client aids such as an online demo, online video, online help, guided tour, and other educational guidelines and techniques.
Transforms complex documentation into simple concepts that are easy to understand by the end-users.
Studies and evaluates the user feedback to retrieve information on documentation and use it to enhance usability.
Works as an editor and build constructive criticism to ensure fluency in training documentation throughout the team.
Analyzes the metrics used for training and assess the customer feedback to align them with future investments in training.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related field.
Minimum 10 years of working experience in:
Defense and commercial companies in editing narrative and graphical products to identify and correct grammatical formatting, readability, and logic errors and to identify technical inconsistencies that will require engineer’s attention.
Using a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, and graphical-art applications to produce test plans, test procedures, test reports, technical manuals, procedure, graphics, and scheduling tools.
Creating, compiling, and delivering complex system/software developmental documentation packages such as narratives, logic diagrams, input and output samples, input preparation instructions, job setup information from technical project team inputs, system requirements analysis, system design specifications, technical system design, technical procedure development, configuration control requirements, test and training specifications, and programming notes.
Extensive experience with the latest version of the following Military Standards: MIL-HDBK-310, MIL-HDBK-881, MIL-HDBK-1473, MIL-STD-882, MIL-STD-461 MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-961, MIL-STD-1425 MIL- STD-1472, MIL-STD- 1474, NAVAIRINST 13034.2, NAVSEA OP 3565, and MIL-HDBK-245.
Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
Experience with the Army CIO/G6 programmatic requirement .
Demonstrated ability in Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Past experience working in C5ISR an CSIA.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $185,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
