Position Expectations 

• Accountable for project planning and execution, customer experience, and ensuring MongoDB delivery meets committed scope and budget 
• Employ project management excellence to navigate with agility the complex organizations of large enterprises, building mindshare to plan and execute programs likely to have ambiguous risks and challenges 
• Multitasking - managing multiple concurrent priorities and projects without compromising quality. Strong time management, rapid context-switching, stay organised under pressure.
• Exceptional stakeholder and client management
• Maintain excellence of project governance with internal and customer stakeholders, managing day-to-day project planning and execution, project scope, expectations and risks, and ensuring timelines are met and quality results produced 
• Lend support to pre-sale engagements to assist with scoping of solution and project scope definition 
• Adopt and contribute to the continuous improvement of MongoDB's engagement and project delivery methodologies 
• Confidently lead project meetings, owning meeting agenda and meeting outcomes
• Lead the management of scope, change controls, customer expectations and timelines 

Measures of Success 

• Collaborate directly with customers and other internal teams to lead and deliver high-quality, reference-able engagements 
• Of paramount importance is predictability: of forecasts for resource needs and revenue; of internal & customer stakeholder management; of outcomes; of risk management; of customer expectations and experience
• Demonstrate eye for business through robust control of the internal and external budget, project margin, resource utilization and billability across your entire project portfolio 

Candidate Profile 

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• 5+ years of proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions; background in large-scale software engineering or consulting services is preferred
• Project Management Expertise. Candidates must demonstrate full lifecycle ownership across the following areas:
• Professional Services PM: Experience managing external client-facing projects in a professional services environment, with strong stakeholder engagement and outcome delivery
• Application Development PM: Proven track record of managing custom application development projects end-to-end — from scoping and planning to execution and closure — with accountability for scope, timeline, and budget
• Hands-On Execution: Direct involvement in driving project execution, beyond strategic oversight or governance

Leadership & Execution

• Strong leadership in managing complex, cross-functional projects and multiple concurrent priorities
• Skilled in planning and prioritization across both internal and customer teams, ensuring high-quality outcomes are delivered on time and within budget
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, influence outcomes, and drive change across technical and business teams

Project Methodologies

• Practical understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models, with the flexibility to adapt based on project context
• Certifications (e.g. PMP, Scrum Master) are valued but not mandatory
