Requirements
  • Experience supporting military headquarters in Program Financial Management
  • Experience with financial execution of a spending plan within a Department of Defense organization, including analysis of obligation plans versus obligations
  • Experience with monthly financial reporting
  • Experience with financial programming for operations and maintenance, and research, development, test, and evaluation funding
  • Experience with business and accounting processes and policy
  • Knowledge of the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) Financial Database
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure and improve program effectiveness and productivity
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, O365, and Microsoft Excel
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with financial execution, or 7+ years of experience with financial execution in lieu of a degree
Responsibilities
  • Support Joint Force Development by providing expertise in highly specialized financial, programmatic, and business analysis environments to support senior management business decisions
  • Participate in the identification, analysis, and evaluation of policy and processes related to DoD Training initiatives
  • Plan, coordinate, and support meetings and planning events involving worldwide participants to improve the use of joint training resources
  • Contribute to the resolution of complex programmatic and financial problems using analytic judgment and proven analytic practices
  • Work independently with some guidance and multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines
  • Ensure the funding is used efficiently through consistent tracking and communication with Joint Force senior leadership

  • Knowledge of pertinent laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to joint training programs and related resources
  • Ability to research payments in government systems
  • Ability to interpret the intent of a client’s needs effectively and help to shape and form the solution by leveraging team capabilities
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive project timelines and continual client delivery
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
