Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in procurement
Responsibilities
  • Guide EDC project managers through NYCEDC’s procurement and contracting processes
  • Review and manage automated workflow requests in Contracts dept. queue in a timely manner
  • Serve as internal expert on NYCEDC’s procurement and contracting procedures and policies
  • Responsible for departmental review/approval of vendor payment requests, and tracking
  • Contribute and assist the departmental Chief of Staff on various mission and departmental driven goals, related tasks, as well as special projects, on an as needed basis
  • Identify and prioritize workload while managing competing demands, and deadlines
  • Provide training regarding proper procurement process to internal project managers
  • Maintain, create, and update departmental trainings and project templates, such as, presentation materials, agendas, meeting minutes, and sign-in sheets
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Contracts Department’s internal and external websites/intranet (NYCEDC.com & EDCIS) related to the procurement pages
  • Assist the departmental Chief of Staff/Contracts VP on communicating policies, objectives, and pertinent information to departmental staff in a timely and dependable manner
  • Responsible for managing departmental Office Hrs. requests, including but not limited to, resource allocation
  • Liaise with relevant external Agencies/stakeholders as necessary
  • Assist in gathering reports for the PAAA and other agency reports, as required
  • Handle all online form requests and processing e.g., expense reports, human resources forms, conference attendance, etc.
  • Work closely with senior departmental staff to identify, coordinate, and plan events for team building
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, in a manner that is succinct and professional
  • Ability to manage a variety of functions simultaneously and with flexibility
  • Responsible for archiving, including departmental documents, tracking, and maintenance of archival documents
  • Assist in coordinating group meetings, as well as other relevant calendar events
  • Develop a working knowledge of other key departmental functions
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of Microsoft VISIO, preferred
  • New York City residence is required within 180 days of hire
