Join the power movement as a Vice President of Digital Technology
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Vice President of Digital Technology to join our executive team. You will lead our Information Technology (IT) and Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) teams in digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that our technology infrastructure and operations align with our business goals and support our commitment to innovation in the energy sector. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with a deep understanding of tough tech, of energy systems, and the ability to drive technological advancements that enhance our competitive edge.
What you’ll do:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives
- Lead digital transformation initiatives to drive innovation and operational efficiency
- Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies that support the development and deployment of tough tech solutions
- Technology Management:
- Oversee the management and optimization of IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability
- Implement advanced data analytics and AI-driven solutions to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency
- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect sensitive information and critical infrastructure
- Innovation and Development:
- Foster a culture of innovation within the IT and EIS team and across the organization
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and business teams to advance automation throughout the company
- Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing IT and EIS team, promoting professional growth and development
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration to ensure IT initiatives align with business needs
- Mentor and guide IT and EIS leaders to cultivate a strong leadership pipeline
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT strategies with business priorities
- Engage with external partners to vet next generation technology and systems
- Operational Excellence:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of IT initiatives
- Ensure the effective management of IT budgets, resources, and projects
- Drive continuous improvement in IT processes and service delivery
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Proven experience as a VP or in a similar senior leadership role
- Strong understanding of tough tech, including advanced materials, AI, robotics, and other emerging technologies
- Demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation and innovation initiatives
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, data management, and IT infrastructure
- Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects and budgets
Must-have requirements:
- Ability to type, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
- Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call
- Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
