Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a closely related field.
  • Previous internship experience in a related field.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and hands-on experience in building and troubleshooting.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to tackle complex projects independently.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Electrical simulation tools (e.g., SPICE), Arduino with C++ for interfacing compatible chips, PCB design using KiCad, Altium, OrCad, or Eagle.
  • Participation in extracurricular technical clubs (e.g., Formula SAE, rocketry, robotics) is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Participate in designing custom controllers, non-production builds, and vehicle conversions tailored to specific applications.
  • Hands-on Builds: Work with hardware, software, and integration for unique projects, building non-standard assets that demonstrate versatility.
  • Vehicle Engineering: Engage in projects like modifying existing models (e.g., converting an R1T to a firetruck or other specialty vehicle) for testing, demonstrations, and creative applications.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Contribute to projects requiring broad scope, quick turnarounds, and collaborative energy with a team of electrical and mechanical engineers.
