  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Experience with Paylocity and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. NetSuite is a plus.
  • Experience managing payroll for a workforce of 500 employees or more.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees across multiple states.
  • Maintain payroll information and the integrity of the data by designing systems, and directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Create and maintain all necessary federal, state, and local tax accounts.
  • Prepare and submit all required payroll-related reports and filings. Arrange weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
  • Monitor the accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations.
  • Review and manage time cards, time entry, and timekeeping system in Paylocity.
  • Manage year-end reporting processes including W-2s and other relevant documents.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to systems and processes.
  • Regularly reconcile Employee and Employer benefit and retirement plan costs to payroll deductions.
  • Manage payroll systems and vendor relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement new procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and other system processes.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries and issues.
  • Educate and inform employees about payroll procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits.
