  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex tax concepts to clients who do not possess a technical tax background and concisely make recommendations to senior leaders
  • Obsessively obsessed with attention to detail and leaves no stone unturned
  • Adept cross-functional partner who thrives on creating a delightful customer experience with other functional partners (Controller Services, Bookkeeping, AR/AP, Sales, Product)
  • Prior experience in E-commerce, Technology, and Crypto a plus
  • Active CPA License
  • Delivering high quality tax and advisory services to tax clients with a focus on federal and state income tax
  • Playing a leadership role in managing Pilot's tax compliance client portfolio
  • Supporting the growth of the Pilot tax practice by teaming with other Pilot leaders to identify new market opportunities
  • Building and manage a team of tax professionals
  • Finding and implementing opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
  • Scaling our tax processes as our tax customer base continues to grow
Desired Qualifications
  • 10+ years of business tax experience with an emphasis on federal and state income tax (sales and/or property tax is a plus)
