Requirements
  • 5+ years of AP experience, including 3-way match, with a proven ability to resolve discrepancies, handle inquiries, and manage AP workflows effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with a track record of delivering quality work.
  • Experience providing coaching or informal guidance within a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, policies, and compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in daily work.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel) and willingness to learn and work with automation tools or new systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the team: Demonstrate a strong work ethic that exemplifies the desired positive, professional, and inclusive work environment. Guide the team through training, mentoring, and feedback to help improve skills and advance careers.
  • Problem-solve: Resolve issues and post invoices for escalated urgent requests to make sure they are completed from start to finish.
  • Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and vendor payment terms.
  • Maintain accurate metrics: Monitor SLA daily to make sure the SLA is within target in all areas.
  • Prepare reports: Prepare and present reports on accounts payable activities, including daily team stats.
  • Implementation assistance: Assist, test and provide feedback when needed with new systems and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Weekly Payment Reviews: Review the selected payment files to identify errors or items that require correction and coordinate with the Disbursements team to remove and balance the payment.
  • Handle escalations: Problem solving and responding with professional customer service. Provide the Supervisor with a resolution summary.
  • Reconcile accounts: Assist with vendor account reconciliation when necessary.
