Requirements
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience using Enterprise Resource Planning or Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems, freight management software, and major parcel, less-than-truckload, and full-truckload carrier portals.
  • A solid understanding of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, hazardous materials handling regulations, and basic customs and import-export paperwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced capability in Excel, including XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data-tracking sheets, and reporting.
  • Strong critical-thinking and root-cause-analysis skills for resolving transit delays, invoice discrepancies, and carrier performance issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for negotiating freight quotes, interacting with vendors, and collaborating across internal departments.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills for managing competing priorities and multiple active shipments.
  • Basic commercial acumen with a focus on balancing cost efficiency against transit-time commitments.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments using approved carriers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Prepare accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and required paperwork.
  • Track active shipments and provide real-time updates to internal departments and customers as needed.
  • Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies, delivery delays, and routine carrier inquiries.
  • Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries, request freight quotes, and compare options to balance cost and transit time.
  • Communicate with carriers and suppliers to coordinate shipments, resolve issues, and support drop-ship orders.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with freight carriers, parcel providers, and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and keep transportation details updated in company systems.
  • Review freight invoices for accuracy, flag discrepancies, and assist with freight claims or shipment investigations.
  • Partner with the Distribution Center on daily logistics activities, special projects, and process-improvement ideas.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping and receiving, or supply-chain coordination.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced distribution center, manufacturing, or third-party logistics environment.
