Requirements
  • Strong industrial automation and supervisory control and data acquisition experience.
  • Strong experience in commissioning, system integration, and field environments.
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects and engineering, procurement, and construction environments.
  • Real commissioning experience.
  • System-level troubleshooting capability.
  • Ability to detect cross-layer inconsistencies across programmable logic controllers, networks, and supervisory control and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with supervisory control and data acquisition platforms including PcVue, PCS7, WinCC, and AVEVA.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers including Siemens, Schneider, and Codesys; Siemens TIA Portal is preferred.
  • Practical experience with Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA, industrial networks, switch configuration, and field network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with commissioning, integration, and technical coordination.
  • Experience with photovoltaic plants or energy projects, industrial retrofits, or infrastructure systems.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute supervisory control and data acquisition and control-systems commissioning activities.
  • Validate integration between programmable logic controller systems, supervisory control and data acquisition platforms, and third-party or original equipment manufacturer systems.
  • Ensure correct behavior of signals, commands versus feedback, and system states.
  • Lead and support configuration, validation, and troubleshooting of industrial communication networks as a core part of system integration and commissioning.
  • Configure managed industrial switches, IP addressing, virtual local area networks, traffic segmentation, subnets, gateways, and inter-network communication.
  • Support and validate star, ring, redundant, and distributed input/output network topologies, including separation between control, supervisory control and data acquisition, and external systems.
  • Ensure correct configuration and operation of Profinet, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA.
  • Validate end-to-end data flow across field devices, programmable logic controllers, and supervisory control and data acquisition systems.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, stale values, intermittent communication, addressing or configuration mismatches, and protocol-level issues.
  • Diagnose connectivity failures, latency or instability, physical-layer issues, cabling, ports, redundancy switching, and switch misconfiguration.
  • Trace signals from field devices through programmable logic controllers and networks to supervisory control and data acquisition systems, isolate root causes, and validate real versus displayed system states.
  • Ensure network configuration supports reliable command execution, feedback consistency, and real-time performance.
  • Interface with network, information technology, operational technology, and operational technology security teams, vendors, and integrators.
  • Align network configuration, system architecture, and commissioning requirements.
  • Validate network stability, structure, and alignment with system criticality, and ensure readiness for factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Own end-to-end coherence of system behavior across field devices, programmable logic controller logic, industrial networks, and supervisory control and data acquisition systems.
  • Ensure alignment between programmable logic controller states, transmitted data, and supervisory control and data acquisition representation.
  • Validate signal traceability, diagnose signal transformations, and validate final behavior.
  • Identify false system states, misleading status, silent failures, and undetected degradation.
  • Ensure programmable logic controller logic, communications, and supervisory control and data acquisition operate as one coherent system.
  • Take responsibility for resolving issues across programmable logic controllers, networks, and supervisory control and data acquisition systems.
  • Ensure system behavior is predictable, verifiable, and aligned with operational reality.
  • Act as the interface between engineering, procurement, and construction contractors, supervisory control and data acquisition vendors, engineering teams, and operations.
  • Align implementation with operational needs and coordinate startup, shutdown, and commissioning activities.
  • Identify and resolve integration issues across communications, supervisory control and data acquisition and programmable logic controller interaction, and instrumentation.
  • Validate full system behavior under real conditions.
  • Support supervisory control and data acquisition platforms including PcVue, PCS7, WinCC, and AVEVA, ensuring proper alarms, monitoring, and data coherence.
  • Support factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing, contribute to delivery readiness, and mitigate integration, sequencing, and dependency risks.
