  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering
  • Experience in structural design, analysis, and development of earthworks projects in different soil types
  • Experience with building construction methods, building systems, and cost implications
  • Experience with finite element analysis software for static and dynamic analysis (e.g., ANSYS, STRUDL, STAAD, SAP2000, MathCad, or SAFE)
  • Familiarity with seismic isolation and construction in permafrost preferred
Responsibilities
  • Design structural foundations and perform analyses of the interface between the foundation and the structure considering live loads, dead loads, and environmental loads such as wind, thermal, and seismic
  • Design berms, slope retention, engineering backfill and other earthwork projects that allow for land use efficiency, energy efficiency, and cost minimization
  • Familiar with industry codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, AWS, ASME, etc
  • Develop site investigations and site preparations strategies that meet building code requirements and result in cost minimization
  • Support EPC and A&E relationships, collaborate with our operations team and site contractors on site investigations and site preparations
  • Collaborate with our operations team and engineering, procurement, and construction contractor on site preparations
  • Document work using modern tools and techniques and write well-written, thoughtful, technical reports
