Requirements

Good system administration knowledge with fundamental understanding of Linux operating system internals & TCP/IP networking
Expertise in at least one scripting language (e.g. Bash, Python)
Experience using Docker or similar container technologies in a production environment
Experience using infrastructure-as-code principles to automate the creation of infrastructure resources (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation)
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team

Responsibilities

Design and implement platform on the cloud to support OXIO backend services
Automate technical operations: deployments, scaling, recovery, etc
Monitor and maintain mission-critical production infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime
Participate in an on-call rotation and culture of continuous improvement through blameless postmortems
Enable the Engineering team by providing them the tools to operate the service they build

Desired Qualifications

Experience using cloud native and/or open source tools such as Kubernetes, Ambassador, LinkerD, Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, SaltStack, Kafka or Elasticsearch
Experience in database administration (e.g. MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
At least one cloud provider proficiency (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCloud)
CI/CD pipeline knowledge (e.g. Gitlab, Jenkins)
