Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Two years of related warehouse, inventory, or customer service experience are required; an Associate's degree in a relevant area of study may substitute for this experience.
  • Experience driving company vehicles and making routine deliveries is required.
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.
Responsibilities
  • Identify excess inventory, return stock, process credits, and notify the supervisor of outdated or slow-moving inventory.
  • Notify the Supply Chain Operations Lead or Supply Chain Operations Supervisor of issues affecting departmental operational efficiency.
  • Rotate dated stock and maintain working supply levels in par locations, procedural rooms, and the Central Supply warehouse.
  • Use a handheld device to inventory supply locations.
  • Create and manage bin locations and labels as required.
  • Answer telephone or customer requests using appropriate customer service responses.
  • Expedite correction of discrepant orders with the purchasing department.
  • Report discrepancy volume and fluctuations, initiate process improvements, and assist with implementation.
  • Maintain warehouse and par locations through accurate replenishment, organization, labeling, and periodic par evaluations and adjustments.
  • Follow procedures for accurate shipment receiving and delivery, and reconcile paperwork and issues to completion.
  • Participate in putaway and validation of perpetual inventory items, and issue and credit materials through the inventory management point-of-use system.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical leaders and teams.
  • Participate in department-based and hospital-sponsored educational programs to maintain skills and competencies.
  • Interact with supervisors, peers, other departments, and customer groups while providing service.
  • Communicate with and listen to internal and external customers, understand instructions, share knowledge, and serve as a liaison for nursing departments.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Supply Chain department and clinical leaders throughout the facility.
  • Support annual or biannual inventory counts to determine asset value and additional inventories as requested.
  • Perform basic system troubleshooting.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance and comply with organizational policies and applicable standards.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Perform problem-solving functions and specific tasks that support patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Process and log system file updates related to supply-location inventory updates and replenishments.
  • Perform regular cycle counts.
  • Present a consistent professional image in dress and communications.
  • Operate supply chain equipment as needed.
  • Deliver medical supplies and equipment to off-site Orlando Health locations, including the freestanding emergency department, using a company vehicle according to established delivery schedules.

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute has opened a new 31,000-square-foot facility at Orlando Health Institute Square in St. Petersburg, expanding cancer care access in Pinellas County.
